Abundance of Caution

After monitoring the situation, staying in close contact with local public health officials, and in an abundance of caution, we have decided that we should write a blog entry. What do you want to remember from quarantine time?

Carrie
- Being on the phone with Rachel when she had to kill a black widow by stepping on it.
- Harboring a food delivery driver in my basement for 40 minutes while he waited for the locksmith to get his keys out of the car. Realizing later I'd put him in the room with the dead sister clock and wondering if he'd noticed.
- Sunny lunch times on the lawn with Chris and the kids taking a break from school and work.
- Music madness highs and lows.
- finding out that Gwen is an AC/DC fan. Also a tea party with Mae and Gwen
- Mel's kitchen cafe pretzel recipe.
- Binge-watching The Office as a family.
- super blue sky with hardly any pollution
- Listening to some incredible music for Music Madness, but also the heartbreak and controversy, as favorites like the 1812 Overture and Rhapsody in Blue fell by the wayside, and we spiraled to a Liszt finale of La Campanella vs. Hungarian Rhapsody. Grand Champion: La Campanella! 12-9 final score.

Sarah
- doing a 1000 pice puzzle seemed fun
- fresno streets empty
- telling mom she was grounded
- zoom and google chat became our best friends
- going on a drive to the post office seemed like an adventuer

Rachel
- Watching a movie a day with Sydney while she was still with me, as well as our spree of trying to learn all the tricks (pencil twirling, knife twirling, breaking apple in half with bare hands, juggling)
- Taking sunny lunch breaks with my favorite coworker-neighbors who live a couple blocks from me
- The stress of switching to teaching online class on top the stress of starting a new job working from home on top of the stress of a month of earthquakes and aftershocks
- Going on walks with friends in the middle of the street so we can keep 6 feet apart, and not having to move for cars
- Getting care packages from Carrie (puzzle, persimmons, a poem, peeps, pie pans so I could make myself a lemon meringue...did you mean to only get me things that start with P? I'm only just realizing this)
- And of course, fleeing to Colorado and hugging the Gregories
