Twinkle, Twinkle

When we picked Hal up from Beth's a couple months ago, it seemed like he was singing parts of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Since he was pretty young to start singing melodies, and we hadn't really been singing that song to him (and Beth claims not to have), we were in denial about it for a while. But it quickly became clear that he most definitely was singing this song, and he knew the entire thing, and would even change his pitch to match whatever instrument/recording we started playing.
We then tried to catch it on video, which turned out to be quite difficult. Eventually, we managed to get enough footage to splice together all the parts. (Sorry, but this means he's not singing in the same key throughout the clips)
He now sometimes sings along with me when I'm singing other songs, especially the endings/big finishes, but it's mostly Twinkle, Twinkle...all the time...over and over again...even loudly during the sacrament.

  1. Do you think this could be like 'Close Encounters', where aliens were sending the hero messages coded in musical intervals? Because he's definitely channeling something. Cuteness, if nothing else.

  2. I have witnessed the whole song, sung loudly through the park. Glad you could get this pieced together, Claire. Obviously he's a genius!
