Halloween

It's been nice to have a fall season. Theo ate an apple like this, entirely unprompted. Lucy wanted to do the same, but she literally has no front teeth and can't do it.
I made an apple pie that looked like this. I was kind of proud, especially of the drizzled caramel.


Lucy wanted Theo to be Mr Tumnus, from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I made him some horns by gluing kisses onto a headband.
Of course, he ate them. I was lamenting this to a friend, who responded by saying "oh, do you want to borrow my goat hat?"

Yes. Yes I do want to borrow your goat hat.

You know Chris is out of town when...

- I had to jump up and knock the cereal box down with a spatula from the top shelf of the cupboard this morning. How does he reach all the way up there?

- Beth has to come online at 2:30am EST to tell me to go to bed. "Now."

- I checked to see if maybe, just maybe, Eclipse had somehow been released on DVD without me hearing about it.

- Instead of only being 70% sure, I'm now 95% sure I'm the only one feeding the bunny.

- both of the kids join me in bed at 4am and there's plenty of room for everyone.

- we eat brownies, corn and scrambled eggs for dinner

logic at it's finest.

me- jackson, where do you go potty?

jax- in the toilet AND outside.

me- well, it is ok to go outside as long as you are away from the house and no one is around to see you naked.

jax- yep! i go away from the house AAAND when i pull down my pants to pee, the people all run away screaming 'aawww jackson!!' and when they are gone, THEN i go, so they no see me!
